Activision and NASCAR have developed an event that taps into the passion of NASCAR fans, activates the millions of people in the NASCAR community, and, best of all, gives drivers and their families a chance to settle their disputes without any real-world consequences! With their dads as coaches and their moms as managers, the Battle of the NASCAR Kids is the first event of its kind. The event aims to bring together NASCAR families and ultimately raise money for charities, with each participating family donating $5,000 to a charity of their choice. All the racers will band together also to hand a check to The NASCAR Foundation for $25,000 from Activision.

The following is a list of the players who will be competing and the drivers they’ll be representing:

  • J.J. Yeley’s daughter Faith will be racing for Jake Raborn Foundation
  • Juan Pablo Montoya’s son Sebastian will be racing for Formula Smiles
  • Travis Kvapil’s son Carson will be racing for NASCAR Dreams
  • David Gilliland’s son Todd racing for Sherrills Ford Optimist Park
  • David Blaney’s son Ryan racing for Alzheimer’s Association
  • Joey Logano will be picking the names of two lucky individuals from the crowd to compete as well (if they win, they’ll take home the $5,000)
  • Also competing from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will be 11 year old Isabella P.

The Battle of the NASCAR Kids will take place at 10:30am on Saturday, November 19 at the GameStop videogame truck outside of Gate 2 in the Outer Display Area of Homestead-Miami speedway, the same weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship. There are two public gameplay sessions scheduled for November 17-18 at the family-friendly Championship Drive event in Miami Beach (Lummus Park Ocean Drive between 7th and 9th St).
