On June 9th – (Washington, D.C.) As many as 200,000 scouts are expected to sing, dance and generally show off their badge-earning pride during a day-long celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts of America. The festival gets underway at 9 a.m. at the Mall’s Sylvan Stage (close to 15th Street) with yoga demonstrations, singalongs and a Girl Scout uniform fashion show.
