Alot is happening today – it’s April 15th. Did you get your taxes completed? If not, then did you file your extension? Guess what? Sixty-six years ago today Jackie Robinson became the first black man to play major league baseball in the modern era. It’s Jackie Robinson Day.
Players will wear 42 on their jerseys today. Columnists across America will write about their Jackie Robinson story today! Didn’t have the opportunity (but it’s on my DVR) to watch the Bob Costas #42 special yet — but that’s on today’s To-Do list!
At CitiField for Opening Day – I took my son for a tour of the Jackie Robinson Rotunda – it’s important to let the youths know about real “game-changers”.
