“10 Under 20: Young Innovators to Watch” Award Competition to Promote the Next Generation of Digital Talent in New York City

CE Week NYC in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) has announced the “10 Under 20: Young Innovators to Watch” award competition to support and highlight New York City’s young tech innovators. Ten high school and college students will be honored for outstanding achievements in innovation at this year’s CE Week, one of New York City’s most prominent technology tradeshows, on June 24, 2015 at Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street.

“New technologies, new startups and new ideas always take center stage during CE Week every June, but many innovators defy age, and some of the best were nurtured as students,” said Eric Schwartz, CE Week Executive Producer. “It’s only fitting that we use our show’s media platform to cast a spotlight on the next generation of creators.”

“As part of our efforts to create a diversified and equitable urban economy, we seek to cultivate an environment where New York City’s diverse and talented entrepreneurs will lead the globe in the 21st century economy,” said NYCEDC Executive Vice President Eric Gertler. “This group of young adult innovators shows that the City is home to exciting ideas that will continue to shape New York City and that the future of New York City’s tech ecosystem is bright.”
