When there’s a storm on the way and a power failure is a possibility, it’s a good idea to fill your tub with water.
We’ve all been there – when the power goes out, the water very well may stop running. If it’s an extended outage, not only will you need a supply of water to drink, you’ll need water for personal hygiene, to cook with (if you have a gas stove), and to flush your toilet.
As an FYI, to flush your toilet pour a bucket of water into the tank, do not add it to the bowl. Simply remove the cover of the tank and add water to the fill line which is on the inside of the tank. You’re now set to flush – gravity will take care of the rest!
