JJ Abrams will be producing a Justice League Dark TV series for HBO Max.
No further details have been revealed about the DC series, including which characters will feature in the show – but in the comics, the team comprised of individuals such as John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, Deadman and Doctor Mist, and many more.
As part of a major deal with HBO, Abrams’ production company Bad Robot will be producing two further shows for the network, including Overlook, which is inspired by Stephen King’s The Shining, and an original drama titled Duster.
These three new shows are the first to be commissioned for HBO Max as part of Abrams and Bad Robot’s huge deal with WarnerMedia, which was announced in September last year.
“What could be better than an original JJ idea and then Warner Bros. letting them loose on iconic IP from Stephen King and the DC Universe and to provide more must-have programming on HBO Max.”
