Sports streamer DAZN has relaunched its plan to roll out to 200 countries, first announced back in March.
From 1st December the “Netflix of sports” will be available in 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Since the initial announcement, DAZN has had to contend with the Covid-19 pandemic and drop in live sports, as well as a major reshuffle of its senior team. James Rushton took over as acting CEO in June.
The new global app will be available on a range of connected-TV and digital platforms, with additional distribution deals expected to follow. Content will be available in English and Spanish with further localisation being considered later.
