College students held a rally Monday in Suffolk to protest mandatory COVID-19 vaccines for the fall semester.
The group protested near Stony Brook University calling for ‘no forced vax.’
The students say college-age people are the least likely to get COVID.
In Nassau, County Executive Laura Curran says 62% of cases in the last week were in people 30 years old and younger.
In a statement to News 12, Stony Brook University says it will continue to follow state guidance. In a statement the university says, “As with all immunizations that are required to enroll at Stony Brook, the COVID vaccines are important tools to protect our community’s public health and ensure students optimal learning experience.”
