As COVID-19 cases continue to rise nationwide, Long Island’s seven-day positivity rate is now 2.73% and up 2.5% since Monday.
There were 805 recorded COVID-19 cases in Nassau and Suffolk Wednesday.
The average number of daily infections was up 15% nationwide in October.
The American Academy of Pediatrics said that this past week there was more than a 6% increase in kids cases from the week before.
Gov. Kathy Hochul believes getting the shot will end the pandemic for good.
Over 109,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since Wednesday.
