Grill Charms for Father’s Day + Giveaway

Grill Charms are just cool.  And they are also very practical.  We use Grill Charms all the time because it is simply just an easy way to keep up with who gets what on the grill.  It seems everyone is a special order these days and my household is no different.  When we have guests over to cookout, which I love, it just means more special orders.  Medium, well, rare, I won’t mine kinda done and a little pink…haha, it goes on.  Spicy or not, or whatever the case might be Grill Charms has a charm for you to correctly identify your food.

Grill Charms were created by Leslie Haywood out of Charleston, South Carolina.   She has been working on Grill Charms since 2006 when at a dinner party her husband mixed up Jamaican Jerk chicken and she got the spicy piece.  As simple as that she is an American success story having appeared on Mark Cuban’s Shark Tank and her products now distribute all over the country.   While her company has grown successfully the idea of grill charms has remained the same, identify your grilling items with flair!

A grill charm is a stainless steel insert that has a serrated stem on it to keep it stuck firmly inside whatever you are grilling.  On the top of the charm it will show an illustration of an item in the collection.  For instance the spicy collection will have a picture for extra hot, hot and mild items.  Typically there are 6 charms to a box, two of each.  This is a picture of the serrated stems look like.

Below is some Jamaican Jerk Chicken that we had.  You push the stems into the chicken when you prep it.  I make the spicy pieces very hot.  Three seeded Habaneros go into the marinade!   That will light somebody up who is not expecting it!  The extra spicy charms went into these.   The mild went into the jerk marinade that had no peppers in it.  The breast that was not marinated was saved for a glaze applied later, it received the mild Grill Charm.

This is the chicken on the grill.  You can see how easy it would be to get them mixed up at this point.  With the Grill Charms you don’t have to worry about it!  Just remember to remove the Grill Charms with tongs when you are finished.  They are very hot to handle and will burn you.

When were done and the chicken is on the plate ready to eat, everyone knows which one is theirs.  Couldn’t be easier!

There are Grill Charm collections for Steak, Spicy, Charmed Life, the Pink Life (10% goes to breast cancer charities), and the stuffed burger collection.  Each is a great way to identify your food and have fun while doing it!
