Nassau County is getting into the drive-in movie game.

Families looking for a night out can enjoy free screening on Tuesday and Thursdays throughout August at the county’s new pop-up drive-in movie theater set up at parking lot 6A in Eisenhower Park.

The series kicked off with a soft launch showing of Angry Birds 2. 

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran said she hopes the showing could provide some enterntainment for families.

The parking lot has space for up to 120 cars. While there is no entry fee, those interested in seeing a movie at the drive-in theater must reserve a spot by calling or emailing: 516-537-2651, [email protected].

Food trucks will be available on site for moviegoers to enjoy some summertime snacks and movie theater staples.

Here’s a schedule of upcoming screenings, which will take place weather permitting:

Tuesday, August 11 – SONIC THE HEDGEHOG
Thursday, August 13 – DOLITTLE
Tuesday, August 18 – SPIES IN DISGUISE
Thursday, August 20 – MIB INTERNATIONAL
Tuesday, August 25 – Rain date
Thursday, August 27 – JUMANJI 2

Entry to the parking lot will begin at 7 p.m. with the night’s movie showing beginning at dusk.

Masks must be worn to use the restroom or get food.
