Video game developer Epic Games has agreed to buy the Cary Towne Center shopping mall in Cary, N.C., for $95 million. The mall will be turned into new headquarters for Epic with office buildings and recreational community spaces.
Epic has been based in Cary since 1999 and its new campus is expected to open in 2024. The developer behind the massively popular game Fortnite, Epic was recently valued at $17.3 billion and its investors include Tencent, Sony, and Disney.
