ESPN has reached a seven-year broadcast deal with the NHL, according to the world wide leader in sports.. The deal is reportedly for half of the NHL’s U.S. media rights and includes streaming rights to show games on ESPN+.

The report says that ESPN’s deal includes rights to broadcast four Stanley Cup Finals between 2022 and 2028.

NBC currently pays $200 million annually for exclusive U.S. broadcast rights to NHL games, though that deal expires after this season—coinciding with NBC Sports Network ceasing operations by the end of this year.
