Bloomberg reports that Sony needed to revise its production outlook for the fiscal year ending in March for the PS5 and there’s no good news on the horizon.

Current estimates suggest that Sony only has about a million PS5 units to sell between now and March 2022 due to global supply chain issues. Yes, the never ending chip shortages are affecting pretty much every electronics company on the planet.

Options for copping a PS5 for Christmas is fast disappearing. It might be time to instigate plan b for a second year in a row.

Good luck with following those random Twitter accounts that “help” you located available units and waiting for 4AM retail store drops!
