USA Basketball announced today that the Nike Hoop Summit, featuring a women’s and men’s double-header, will air live from Portland’s Moda Center on Saturday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV. The inaugural women’s game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET followed by the men’s game at 10 p.m. ET. Additionally, the games will stream live on the NBA App. 

The Nike Hoop Summit will be called by veteran announcers Chris Miles, Carlos Boozer, Angel Gray and Dennis Scott. Boozer is a three-time medalist with USA Basketball, including winning a pair of gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2001 FIBA U21 Men’s World Championships. 

The 24th Nike Hoop Summit showcases the top American high school athletes facing off against World Teams of top international players 19 and younger.  Representing 17 countries, the men’s and women’s rosters feature more than two dozen USA Basketball gold medalists and 25 McDonald’s All-Americans.

An impressive 253 Nike Hoop Summit men’s alumni have been drafted into the NBA with 14 being selected No. 1 overall and 88 taken in the top 10. Including Jaren Jackson Jr. and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who faced off in the 2017 men’s game and made their first NBA All-Star appearances in February, a total of 38 All-Stars have appeared in the Nike Hoop Summit.

Held annually since 1995, except for 2001-03 and 2020-21, the Nike Hoop Summit has been in Portland since 2008. The USA men hold a 16-7 series advantage over the World Team.
