Warner Bros Discovery has revealed its new streaming service that will amalgamate both HBO Max and Discovery Plus.

WBD’s CEO David Zaslav has announced the company’s new enhanced streaming service will be called Max.

It will launch first in the United States on 23rd May.

Zaslav said Warner Bros Discovery is “the greatest storytelling company on Earth” and the industry’s “biggest and most successful maker of content”.

The new streamer will include content from across the company’s portfolio, from House of the Dragon on HBO to Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, and Oscar-nominated film, Elvis.

Zaslav added the the company will reveal details about Max’s news and sports offering “in a few months”.

Revealing some of the technology behind the new streamer, WBD said it is using machine learning to help increase engagement with its content once subscribers have logged in.
