Well it wasn’t quite “Bromance” on Episode #4 but it was Valentine’s Day. Josh and Adam talked about their Valentine’s Day plans and how they showed the ladies in their lives they loved them. They had a long conversation about gift giving and their thoughts on the quintessential gift of all, flowers.

Adam provided us with some coverage of his time at the New York Toy Fair. He shared with us what some of the hottest new toy trends were. Both Adam and Josh were wishing a toy store were open as they both were stoked for some new toys…Well, for the kids of course! 😉

Adam and Josh discussed the latest recall information about the Summer Infant Video Monitors. They shared that the recalls were of no fault to the product itself. Rather the deaths that occurred were a result of parents placing the video camera too close to the crib with the chord in arms reach of the child. Adam and Josh both shared their safety tips and advice for keeping their little ones safe.

The subject of whether or not to have that second child came up. Josh has two children now and Adam and his wife had been contemplating a second of their own. Josh shared his thoughts and feelings on have multiple children.

Finally, Josh reviewed two iPhone/iPad apps, First  Words Animals and First Words Vehicles. Both apps came highly recommended and were great for younger toddlers learning to spell. You can buy First Words Animals in the iTunes store for $1.99 and First Words Vehicles in the iTunes store for $1.99. Adam reviewed a great camera app for the iPhone called Hipstamatic and that can be purchased at the iTunes store for $1.99. Adam’s second pick was an app for the iPhone and iPad called Sound Hound. It’s a cool app, similar to Shazam, that will identify songs that are playing around you. For example, you’re in a cafe and you like the song playing, the app will identify it. You can download the app Free from the iTunes store.

The guys are working hard to get side by side video archives of the show. They’ve had some technical difficulties but plan to get them ironed out shortly. Until then, be sure to tune in to the next episode of Late Night Parents on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 8PM PST/11PM PST.
