Google admits its viral AI video was edited to look better

A video showcasing the capabilities of its new Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) model, which seemed too good to be true, was just that.

The viral video shows a back-and-forth where an AI responds in real-time to spoken-word prompts and video.

However, in the video’s description, Google said that it had sped up responses for the sake of the demo and that AI was not responding to voice or video at all.

The whole situation has raised many questions about what consumers (and investors) can actually expect from this emerging tech.
