I FINALLY made the SWITCH – to a Tassimo T-55 brewer!!! Was it because the Tassimo makes Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, and Cafe Ole? The Cappuccino and Espresso that this machine makes is delicious. It’s on par with what I’ve had at a really good coffee shop. I think this is a very good machine and I like the fact that a decent cup of Cappuccino is now a quick and convenient option for me (and for guests at my home.
Next, coffee. Does the Tassimo make a good cup of coffee? Yes the coffee I made (Dark Roast) was good. So it’s not the machine, it’s the coffee. All things being equal, I’d say the Tassimo / Water goes in a holding tank, you turn the machine on, you put your cup under dispenser, load a pod, push a button, out comes coffee. Power on / energy use…Tassimo is ready right away:

My recommendation:
1) If getting Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, and Cafe Ole in addition to Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate out of your machine is important, then the clear choice is Tassimo.
2) If however you only want Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate and huge variety is not really important to you then I still say go with the Tassimo; if anything, you’ll save money on the pods.
