Target – Get Your Grill On Giveaway
Target wants to help you get your grill on! Summer and the 4th of July is here and that means grilling! I can find all the great ingredients I need at Target. It’s a one stop shop for your summer grilling needs. Here is a simple menu that my family loves. Hot Dogs, roasted corn and fresh salsa. Sliced fresh pineapple for dessert. Yum! Below is what you need below.
Hot Dogs 1 small onion
Buns 1 fresh jalapeno
pickles 1 can tomato sauce
chips fresh pineapple
fresh cilantro fresh corn
fresh ripe tomatoes
Target carries great ingredients, you never want to skimp when it comes to grilling. I opt for the Oscar Mayer Selects uncured Angus beef franks. They contain no artificial preservatives and taste fantastic. Market Pantry buns and Xochitl organic white corn chips are awesome! To make the salsa is really easy, all you need is a blender. Take a quarter of the onion, half of the jalapeno, 1 tomato and put in a blender and puree the ingredients. Then add a small handful of the cilantro, rest of the tomatoes, rest of the jalapeno, the tomato sauce and pulse until it reaches the consistently you like. This is super easy, we just chill it for a while before we eat. Also, you can play around with this recipe a lot. We have little kids so not too spicy! There are many ways to roast corn but I simply shuck the corn, wash it good and put directly on the grill. I rotate the corn every 5 minutes to make sure it doesn’t burn. After about 20 minutes I wipe on a little melted butter with salt/pepper mixed in and take it off the grill. Kids will love it! Here is a video of the ingredients, grill and final presentation.
