The NHL and NHLPA have launched a virtual science fair for kids in grades four through eight. The Future Goals Virtual Science Fair will be hosted by the online education platform EverFi.

Students will be asked to submit projects that showcase how STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) can be used to enhance hockey in one of three categories: virtual fan engagement, sustainability, and innovation on the ice.

The online application process is open through Jan. 15. Winners will be notified in March and have the chance to receive prizes such as a MacBook Air laptop, an adjustable desk, AirPods and NHL club-branded school supplies.
